Environmental Defense is a leading national nonprofit organization representing more than 500,000 members. Since 1967, we have linked science, economics and law to create innovative, equitable and cost-effective solutions to society's most urgent environmental problems. Environmental Defense is dedicated to protecting the environmental rights of all people, including future generations. Among these rights are access to clean air and water, healthy and nourishing food, and flourishing ecosystems.


Environmental Integrity Project

Environmental laws that guarantee clean air and water, protect human exposure to toxic waste, and preserve natural resources are viewed as a birthright by most Americans. On paper, these laws are impressive in scope; in practice, they are often ignored. The Environmental Integrity Project (EIP) works closely with local communities to protect the public's health and resources by promoting better enforcement of federal environmental laws. EIP also seeks to protect these laws from political interference.

Global Footprint Network's vision is to make the Ecological Footprint as prominent a metric as the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). By 2015, through its flagship Ten-In-Ten Campaign, Global Footprint Network aims to have ten countries managing their ecological wealth in the same way they manage their finances.


Global Green USA

Founded in 1993 by activist and philanthropist Diane Meyer Simon, Global Green is the American Arm of Green Cross International (GCI), which was created by President Mikhail S. Gorbachev to foster a global value shift toward a sustainable and secure future by reconnecting humanity with the environment. Global Green is working to address some of the greatest challenges facing humanity. In the United States our work is primarily focused on stemming global climate change by creating green buildings and cities.

The Global Oneness Project is a web-based video initiative exploring how the simple notion of oneness can be lived in our increasingly complex world. We're traveling the globe interviewing creative and courageous people who base their lives and work on the fundamental understanding that we are all connected and thus bear great responsibility for each other and our shared world. Green Corps

In 2008, Green Corps celebrates 15 years of training organizers for the environmental movement. Since 1992, Green Corps has trained more than 200 environmental organizers, provided field support to more than 100 campaigns, and helped secure dozens of significant victories in conservation, corporate accountability, and public health.

IUCN

IUCN, the International Union for Conservation of Nature, helps the world find pragmatic solutions to our most pressing environment and development challenges. It supports scientific research, manages field projects all over the world and brings governments, non-government organizations, United Nations agencies, companies and local communities together to develop and implement policy, laws and best practice. IUCN is the world’s oldest and largest global environmental network - a democratic membership union with more than 1,000 government and NGO organizations, and almost 11,000 volunteer scientists in more than 160 countries.

 

National Association of RC&D Councils

RC&D stands for Resource Conservation and Development. The purpose of the RC&D Program is to encourage and improve the capability of volunteer local elected and civic leaders in designated RC&D Areas to plan and carry out projects for resource conservation and community development.


National Council for Science & the Environment

The National Council for Science and the Environment is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the scientific basis for environmental decisionmaking. We envision a society where environmental decisions by everyone are based on an accurate understanding of the underlying science, its meaning and limitations, and the potential consequences of their action or inaction.


National Environmental Education Foundation

At the National Environmental Education Foundation, we provide objective environmental information to help Americans live better every day. Organic Farming Research Foundation

Since 1992, OFRF’s grantmaking program has awarded more than $1.5 million for over 200 projects.Our grantmaking objective is to generate practical, science-based knowledge to support modern organic farming systems. OFRF-funded projects emphasize grower-researcher collaboration, studies conducted on-farm and/or in certified organic settings, and outreach of project results.
