American Solar Energy Society (ASES)

Established in 1954, the American Solar Energy Society (ASES) is the nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing the use of solar energy, energy efficiency, and other sustainable technologies in the U.S. ASES leads national efforts to promote solar energy education, public outreach, and advocacy. ASES publishes the award-winning SOLAR TODAY magazine, organizes and presents the ASES National Solar Conference, and leads the ASES National Solar Tour – the largest solar energy event in the world.

This resource is presented by the Arizona Solar Center, a non-profit, non-partisan organization whose mission is to promote the use and utilization of solar energy.

Boston Area Solar Energy Association

BASEA is primarily an educational organization involved in the promotion of solar and other sustainable energy technologies throughout the greater Boston area. Since 1982 BASEA has been an active part of the region's energy-use conscience. Our membership includes engineers, architects, scientists, utilities, builders, students, and the general public. We advocate the balanced, mindful and responsible use of renewable energy to insure a sustainable future.


Chicago Solar Partnership

The Chicago Solar Partnership (CSP) is a public-private consortium established, under the organization of the Illinois Solar Energy Association (ISEA), to advance the development of the solar energy industry in the Chicago metropolitan area.


El Paso Solar Energy Association

The El Paso Solar Energy Association (EPSEA) was founded in 1978 and is the oldest, continuously active, local solar organization in the United States. EPSEA publishes a monthly newsletter on solar energy and EPSEA activities. The purpose of EPSEA is to further the development and application of solar energy and related technologies with concern for ecologic, social and economic fabric of the region (West Texas, Southern New Mexico, Northern Mexico).

The Florida Solar Energy Center (FSEC) was created by the Florida Legislature in 1975 to serve as the state’s energy research institute. The main responsibilities of the center are to conduct research, test and certify solar systems and develop education programs.


International Solar Energy Society (ISES)

NMSEA - New Mexico Solar Energy Association

NMSEA is an educational 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, dedicated to promoting solar energy and related sustainable practices. NMSEA was one of the first organizations in the country to seek methods and ideas on how to use renewable energy, how small villages could live sustainably, and how to empower people through education about these issues. We are currently an all-volunteer organization in our 35th year. Our membership includes a diverse group of citizens including interested advocates of solar energy, architects, building contractors, engineers, educators, and planners specializing in renewable energy and sustainability.

North Carolina Solar Center

Created in 1988, the North Carolina Solar Center serves as a clearinghouse for solar and other renewable energy programs, information, research, technical assistance, and training for the citizens of North Carolina and beyond. Through its programs and services, the Solar Center seeks to stabilize energy costs for consumers, stimulate local economies, reduce dependence on foreign fuels, and mitigate the environmental impacts associated with fossil fuels.


Northern California Solar Energy Association

The Northern California Solar Energy Association (NorCal Solar) is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to accelerate the use of solar energy technology through the exchange of information. Since 1975 this membership-based group has educated tens of thousands of Californians about solar energy solutions through our events, publications, information center, website, and advocacy programs. As a crucial part of the global warming solution, we envision an educated and empowered population that uses all forms of solar energy technology and practices for an economically viable, secure, and environmentally sustainable world.
